Kodai Trek (Oct 2019)

Just a week for Kodai trek, coughing and sneezing I was happy to read the flooded WhatsApp messages that the trek will be mostly canceled due to torrential rains. A real relief for me, thanks to Bangalore rains and my shoes, just a day of walking from work on the water clogged streets with soggy shoes/socks landed me up sick. It was unusual for me to be so down with cold/cough and unrecoverable. Adding to the woes was my severe shoulder pain both sides, all very very new to me. Cancelation of trek would be perfect as even Opendro is badly bruised with deep wounds from his bike fall. I personally felt he cannot trek but he was optimistic as usual. So was relieved to read the alternate plans being discussed, touring in and around the area with the group, will be fun. Family trekkers is a  voluntary group of families trekking together since our first trek to Mullayanagiri in 2016, followed by many small and big treks like Nandi (many times), Kudremukh, Kodachadri, Antargange, Skandag...
